Legal Engineer Intern

About the role

At Perry, we're a VC-backed startup, building agentic AI that handles the full legal stack for private capital funds - from contract review to compliance workflows. We move fast, ship real product, and work on problems that matter 🚀.

This is an equity-in-experience opportunity - real ownership, real mentorship, and work that actually ships. You'll work directly with the founding team to make sure Perry's AI is accurate, reliable, and genuinely useful to the lawyers and fund managers who rely on it.

We're growing, and the best internships here have a way of turning into something more. If you're early in your legal career and want to build something meaningful for your portfolio while getting deep exposure to how production AI legal products actually get built, this is that role.

What you’ll be doing

You'll QA new features before they ship and evaluate the accuracy of Perry's outputs across real legal workflows. You'll write up findings clearly enough that engineering and product can act on them immediately.

About you

A law student, recent graduate, trainee, or paralegal with a real interest in legal tech. Comfortable with AI tools - ideally already using them in your own work. Detail-oriented enough to spot when an AI answer sounds right but is actually wrong, and sharp enough to explain why. Clear writer, self-directed, and curious about how legal work gets automated. Exposure to VC or fund docs (SAFEs, SHAs, LP agreements, cap tables) is a bonus, not a requirement.

Benefits

Direct mentorship from the founding team. Real work in a production AI product that private capital funds actually use and love. A strong reference and network at the intersection of AI and law. Flexible hours, London-first with remote on the table - though we'd love to have you in the office most days.
